HOMEWORK - week 4

I took this photo when I went to visit the Southern Cemetery the other day. I spoke to these men and asked them what they were doing and why. What do you think they are doing? Why?

What:

I think this man is re-painting this metal.

Why:

Because metal eventually rust over time, so he's painting it to prevent more rust.

i think he is painting the fence to make the cemetery look nice. Just because they are dead it doesn't mean it has to look all tatty and it is respectful to keep it looking nice for our loved ones.

well done to those students who have commented already. Hayden; Why do you think he is painting the fence? My other question for all of you is why is he only painting this specific fence?

I think that he could be cleaning the grave and the fence around it because sometimes it can get dirty and covered in moss. He could be a member of the family or he might work there and clean all the graves....but he could also be repainting the fence. The grave looks like it has a cloth over it to protect it.

I think he is either painting the fence or polishing the stone.
I think he is painting the fence because if he doesn't it will go rusty.Or he is polishing the stone so when people come to look at it they will be able to read the engraved letters.

What I think the man is doing?
He is painting some thing. And he is painting
something big. It looks like he is painting a grave
stone, but he is painting a fence. He is painting it because it is brown and old.

I think he is painting the fence because sometimes the fence can get all rusted up and people woul want it to look nice or maybe he is putting a new fence in because it may have broke

I think that the person is engraving the persons name in the stone or he is re-painting the stone because the paint might be starting to peal off.

I think the guy is painting the fence so that it dosent look all ratty. He is probably only painting that fence because either he has only just started and will do the rest later, or that was the only one that needed doing.

he is putting an undercoat of paint on the fence as cemetery maintenance, and the cloth is over the headstone to stop it getting paint splatters.
